On August 31, Brett Metcalfe, age 15, was involved in an ATV accident. He sustained several serious injuries, including swelling of the brain, skull and facial fractures, and a brain bleed.

While Brett’s recovery is progressing well, it requires his family to be with him at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, where he is receiving excellent care. Despite making tremendous strides, Brett faces a long road ahead that will include rehabilitation.

The outpouring of prayers and support has meant the world to Brett and his immediate family—Paula, Paul, and Breann—as well as his larger family of friends and his community. 

Brett’s friends and community, deeply moved by his strength and the challenges ahead, have come together to organize a Fundraiser Dance on September 20th from 8 PM to 12 AM at the Community Room of the Miners Forum.

Donations will be accepted at the door, and music will be provided by Thirdwheel.
